Purpose

In Matthew 25:40, Jesus tells us that: “whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.” We are Luke, Stephanie, Sam, and Evie Joyce, and this blog is our way of explaining that those who we traditionally consider “the least of these” are actually far more capable of giving to us than we are to them. Truly, we are all “the least of these,” and we only begin to see the true character of God as we help each other and enter into relationship with one another in this life. We traveled to Yamaranguila, Honduras in June of 2016 with the intention of helping. We were the ones who were truly blessed and changed in the process. We experienced much more change as we lived in Gracias, Honduras for Luke to teach for the 2017-2018 and the 2018-2019 school year, and for Stephanie to work as a nurse at a medical clinic. We now live again in Michigan, grateful that God is teaching us to see “the least of these” wherever he would have us. More details are on our about page.
